Medica Centar: preserving clinical knowledge during a full rebuild

The old site contained long specialist articles, 94 professional papers and 11 videos. The task was to rebuild the system without losing a known URL, then give the practice direct control of fifty-five service pages.

01

The valuable part was the content

Medica Centar is a private gynaecology and obstetrics practice in Niš. Its previous static site was difficult to use on a phone, but the editorial archive had lasting value. The migration therefore started with a complete URL and content inventory rather than a blank visual concept.

02

One structure, not fifty-five copied templates

The new PHP 8.3 site stores service content in JSON. Shared templates render gynecology, pregnancy and laser-cosmetology pages, while the practice edits the same source through its own panel. Adding a service also updates the relevant hub, sitemap and internal links.

03

A migration with a measurable finish line

The old site was preserved before release. Sixty-nine old addresses were mapped and tested, including the final destination and response code. Forms deliberately ask visitors not to include medical details and collect only the contact data needed for a reply.

04

What the practice controls now

The practice can edit services, promotions, contact details, images, menus and core pages from its panel. The live site remains on the client’s own hosting and domain, with no platform subscription or third-party page builder.
